We are currently looking for a Site Supervisor with an electrical bias for our client based in the South East. The role will be predominantly based in the Thames Valley however will sometimes include travel further afield and some staying away.

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating activities on site to fulfil the company’s commitments in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner, striving for customer satisfaction and a safety first culture.

They should have a committed and flexible ‘can do’ attitude to successfully deliver a variety of Electrical / Instrumentation / Controls / SCADA / Telemetry (with some minor mechanical / civils) related schemes. They will hold a working supervisory role within the Company, working in conjunction with the Project Management team ensuring the Company’s performance is constantly being monitored and where possible improved.

He/she will be responsible for site supervision of labour and project progress, working alongside the Project Manager or Project Engineer.

This role will require the ability to effectively liaise with internal staff (both senior and junior) and external clients / contractors in a polite, professional and courteous manner.

Typical duties may include:-

  • Initial project feasibility, survey, project scoping, estimation

  • Conduct toolbox talks and site safety briefings to staff

  • Undertake Health & Safety checks such as PUWER, SHE, Ladder Inspections, etc

  • Liaise with the client on project related issues and conduct site meetings when required

  • Undertake specialist technical works to deliver all or part of a project as required

  • Planning and purchasing materials / coordinating sub-contractors as required

  • Regular liaison with client representatives

  • Adjusting projects priorities and milestones based upon the customer’s changing needs

  • Providing regular feedback on operational issues / concerns to PM team and management

  • Ensuring that all Health & Safety processes and procedures are followed

  • Assistance with planning and scheduling resources to meet project goals

Responsibilities will include:-

  • Ensure the safety of all employees, clients and the general public on the Site

  • Ensure that all Company Policies & Procedures are adhered to

  • Uphold the Company’s brand name & reputation and ensure it is not damaged

  • Follow the procedures as laid out within the Integrated Management Systems of the company

  • Maintain company confidentiality as required

Desired Skills

  • Ability to organise and manage time effectively

  • Good verbal communication skills

  • Understanding of Site Safety and the company H & S policy

  • Ability to work well with other teams within the company

  • Ability to show good leadership

This position offers a salary in the region of £35,000. Further benefits of the role include a standard holiday allowance, pension, company van and mobile telephone.
